MLM in Two - #7 Working With Others

Working with a group of like minded people is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a Network Marketer. As I've said in my last few posts the more you can work with people who are all going in the same direction and all have the same goals, the better it will be for you and your business.

MLM in Two - #6 The Power Of Leverage

How much can you do on your own? I know I can only do so much before I run out of time to do the rest… so by leveraging your time and passing on your tasks to other members of your team, hiring staff, or asking a family member to help you make new friends on the social networks, you will be able to achieve so much more!

Think of this as a serious business. In business, the managers hire staff to carry out the least important tasks whilst the manager works on the most high leverage tasks. This way he is able to accomplish much more.

If you can focus on the HIGH LEVERAGE tasks such as writing blog posts, putting out video's and building meaningful relationships and ask a family member to make friends on Facebook, Betternetworker etc for you then you are working on the most important parts of your business all the time and not just the silly bits that make you look busy but produce ZERO RESULTS.

Also think about using software to leverage your time. Twitter Friend Adder software, myspace friend adder, youtube friend adder software does the boring work whilst you work on the important things again :-)

MLM in Two - #5 Finding A Mentor

Most of us work online alone with no one to ask questions, to help us or to guide us in the right direction each day. Finding a mentor is incredibly important if you want long term success in Network Marketing.

I've recorded this video below to explain how to find a mentor, someone you can turn to, ask questions and work with on a daily basis

MLM In Two - #3 Persuasion - The Liking Principle In MLM

We do business with people we know, like and trust and if you don't have the rapport built up with someone first… you will NEVER sponsor them into your business.

All persuasion and influence (which really is how we sponsor people into our network marketing business) is down to having that rapport build with the other person first.

My action tip for today is:

When you are speaking with someone on the phone or in person, make sure you match and mirror the speed of their voice and the tone if possible. Don't make it too obvious, but just slow down or speed up your speech to match the other person.

If you are in great rapport, you can gradually change the speed of your voice and they will follow you. You are now in control of the situation and they will follow what you do. (To a certain degree).

The more somebody perceives you to be like them, the more they will like you and trust you. Please only use this to help people… DO NOT use this to manipulate people.

MLM In Two - #2 Persuasion - Reciprocation

Like social proof, the law of reciprocation is equally important in the persuasion process.

Give away something of perceived value to someone else and they will feel like they have to pay back that debt in some way. The more value you can provide to other people, the more people will follow you and you'll be rewarded many times over.

Watch todays MLM In Two video, and let me know your thoughts and experiences with this.

MLM In Two - #1 Persuasion - Social Proof

Social proof is incredibly important in all industries and especially in our person to person industry. If you can't show your prospects who you are, what you've done and what you're about… then you'll struggle to gain respect, authority and new clients because there is so much competition out there.

I urge you to ask your friends, upline, downline and people you work with on a daily basis to provide you with a personal testimonial (ideally video) that you can add to your social networks, blog, or website.

In this video, I talk about it much more and give you todays MLM In Two minutes tip.

Help… There Is Just Too Much To Do!

I'm fairly sure that MOST people in this industry and in life in general are disorganized and struggle to keep on top of things. There are also a lot of people who are good at it on a daily basis and therefore achieve much more in less time.

I feel that it's about time I get some coaching in this area. I'm already having some fantastic NLP coaching with my great friend Alix Martin but I'd also like to hone in on this specific area and sort it out once and for all.

Doing some research for David Allen's Getting Things Done a few minutes ago and I found a productivity coach. I wasn't looking for someone like that… but hey, we know how attraction marketing works, right?

When you are looking for something you need an answer to, or need help with and you find someone who has the answers you need… you want to work with them.

Well, here is the email I just sent to Duff who runs this site http://precisionchange.com/coaching … and I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

Hi Duff,

My name is Gavin Mountford… great to meet you :-) I just came across your website through an article gtdmastery100.com and wanted to hire you for some coaching on a weekly basis if possible.

Like many people, I've tried a lot of different personal productivity systems, time management courses, read books and listened to many audios but I'm still struggling to get everything I need to do, done. I work full time online, sometimes 10-14 hrs but I'M SURE that if I worked more effectively, I could get much more done in much less time.

I'm an Internet Marketing/ Network Marketer and there is a lot of things to do each day with learning, trainings, phone calls, connecting, social networking, traffic generation, blogs, product development etc…

My email flow is fairly good and I can usually get my inbox to zero each day. I have a next actions list etc and understand the principles of GTD. I use Achieve Planner at present to keep everything organized (well, almost :-) but I'm actually looking for an online application to help me manage things a little more.

One of my biggest challenges is multi-tasking, although I know it's NOT productive.

I'd like someone to keep me accountable on a weekly basis with my productivity and schedule to help me with the mentality of planning, organizing, doing and reviewing.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many Thanks

Gavin

Getting Things Done

Going through some more time management and project planning software again today. I'm determined to find the right software that works how I want it to.

I've tried and tested numerous systems and software over the last 12 months and still haven't found anything that does exactly what I want.

Nozbe seems to be the web-based time management and GTD (Getting things done - David Allen) software that I've gone back to. Yes, I've tried it in the past and it didn't do what I wanted it to, but I've gone back to test it out again.

I've been using a desktop application Achieve Planner for the last 6 months and it is pretty much everything I am looking for…. except it's not web-based which I want more than anything.

One other program I've looked at today is Intervals. Looks similar to Nozbe but doesn't seem to have the same amount of training and support, so I prefer Nozbe.

A couple of other project management systems I've come across recently are Pelotonics and BaseCamp… but again, not 100% for me.

As an attraction marketer I can potentially have 50-100 projects I'm working on. And when I say projects, I mean items that have more than 2 steps attached to them. Many of them are ongoing projects and Internet & Network Marketing related projects and traffic generation tasks.

I'll keep looking and will fill you in on how Nozbe goes for me. Will it be everything I want it to?
